Position Summary 

The HPC Engineer will build and support environments so that developers can create cutting edge solutions for automotive industry. We focus on delivering an infrastructure management system for the holistic management of computing, storage, networking and cloud resources. We are responsible for full HPC solution: we take care of physical and cloud infrastructure, we code in Ansible, Bash, Python and use DevOps tools and best practices. Join the HPC team and participate in worldwide projects. Take an opportunity to develop system administration and programming knowledge. Join the real DevOps team with full end to end support of projects. Help on the daily functioning of an international company, combining the automotive industry with IT technologies. As a HPC Specialist you will play a key role in HPC team by helping with daily operations, automation and continuous improvements of our High-Performance Compute environment. 

 

Your Role 

  • Expand and implement new HPC solutions. Development of scripts and orchestration rules for automated installation and management of the infrastructure. 
  • Software efficiency analysis on HPC resources for both run time environment and end user application. Continuous development of optimizations for both runtime and end-user applications. 
  • Incident Management. Providing workarounds, root cause analysis and change suggestion to eliminate same issues in the future. 
  • Monitoring of HPC services and proactively execute system maintenance – day-to-day tasks on administration, troubleshooting, and assisting with Linux administration 
  • Improve system uptime, reliability and extend capabilities of our platforms 
  • Cooperation in projects. Development and implementation of POC (proof of concept) installations 

 

Your Background 

  • Strong Skills on Data Center Infrastructure Management 
  • Strong Skills in Linux Systems Administration (focus are on RedHat distributions) Scripting and Automation skills (Bash, Ansible)  
    • Linux based Virtualization (Proxmox, KVM, Vmware – nice to have) 
    • Linux based containerization Kubernetes – optional  
    • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups. 
    • Very good English 
    • Very good analytical skills 
    • Fast learner with proactive approach to adopt changes
